Decking Design

Spending time on the design of your deck will not only make sure it looks great, but it will also ensure that you get the most out of your investment. Unfortunately, if you get it wrong then you could find that it becomes an unloved waste of money. Not only is it important to find the best location in your garden, but the size is also crucial. If it is too small then it will be unusable and the wrong location could mean that you do not get all the benefit of your deck.

Traditionally, a deck designer would use a pen and paper to show the customer what the finished deck will look like. Nowadays, this has been replaced with computer software that will allow you to model the deck in all dimensions as well as produce a printed design to examine when you are away from the computer.

Site Visit

Before you can get a great deck design, the designer will want to visit your garden and look at your requirements. This will allow them to get accurate measurements and a feel for the garden. To determine the best location for the deck, they will consider the direction of sunlight at the time of day when you are most likely to use it.
